Announcement

Please make plans to attend the PVF Roundtable General Assembly Meeting on May 18, 2010 at The HESS Club in Houston, TX.  The HESS Club is located at 5430 Westheimer, on the north side of the street between the Galleria and Chimney Rock.

We'll begin with the social hour that starts at 4:30 PM, featuring an open bar courtesy of Westbrook Manufacturing.  The social hour provides a networking opportunity to meet friends and customers and visit with PVF industry vendors that is unmatched by any other event in our industry. We have received comments from people that have attended the past three or four meetings that have stressed the importance of networking opportunities during the social hour and dinner. They say these opportunities afford them the chance to see important industry contacts that might not be available to them during the normal workday.

We will follow the social hour with a buffet dinner which has become a favorite of our members and guests.  The dinner provides members and guests the opportunity to continue networking.  The relaxed atmosphere of the social hour and dinner cannot be matched at any other industry event.

This is the meeting where Morris Beschloss and The Wholesaler Magazine will be adding a new member to the PVF Hall Of Fame. This year’s inductee is Distributor Eastern Industrial Supply. The PVF Hall of Fame induction has become an annual event for the PVF Roundtable and The Wholesaler Magazine and you don’t want to miss it.

ASA’s Industrial Piping Division’s General Council will be joining us this evening. We will be hearing from one of last year’s inductees, Pat Adams of MKS Pipe & Valve Co., who is also the current Chairman of the IPD.

We urge you to invite guests to the meeting.  We are always trying to increase our membership and guests are generally potential members. Bring your customers or invite your competitors as well as other people from within your company. Don’t miss this outstanding opportunity to network with your industry associates and customers.

Please remember that, because the General Assembly meetings have become so popular, a prompt RSVP is to your advantage.

Our Website has been updated and is ready for use. Please RSVP to the PVF Roundtable website at www.pvf.org.  To confirm, just click on the Event Registration tab and fill out that short form.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Danny Westbrook
PVF Roundtable Secretary/Treasurer

PVF Roundtable

The PVF Roundtable is an organization of companies involved in the pipe, valve and fitting industry. These firms may be manufacturers, distributors, piping designers, engineering firms, construction companies or end-users. Membership is by company, with each firm designating a Primary Member, who serves as the main contact, and as many Associate Members as appropriate as in any geographical location served by that firm. This permits both national and local concerns to be identified and addressed by the Roundtable if applicable. The PVF Roundtable is chartered under the laws of the State of Texas as a not-for-profit corporation and membership costs may be treated accordingly. Membership is renewable on a calendar basis. A listing of present members is available on this Website.

A General Assembly Meeting is held in Houston several times a year, at a convenient, centralized location. These Meetings open with a social hour, providing an informal means of ensuring that attending members can meet and share ideas and solutions to common problems. An early buffet dinner is served, with the Meeting being formally opened around 6:00 P.M. Organizational topics are the first order of business, followed by the self-introduction of Sponsors and attending members. A Featured Speaker(s) is introduced, to provide a presentation of interest to the members. The Meeting is normally adjourned at 8:00 P.M. These General Assembly Meetings are open to all designated Members and guests and represent an important forum for the dissemination of industry information.
